The Communist Legacy

Clinging to their weapons
the reactionaries reside
inside of their fortress
no place to run
no place to hide
defending their masters
who are eating well and staying warm
while the soldiers outside starve, freezing cold in the storm
They think they are defending what is right – Capitalism is what they condone
They just can’t come to realize that they are nothing but drones

The Bourgeoisie trembles in fear in their homes
They know that judgment is soon to unfold
The workers have chosen
The path of free will
The masses no longer accept their evil.

So the vanguard assembles
We take to the streets
The demands of production, we will no longer meet!
To hell with your capital, your profit and stocks!
We are the workers, and we WILL NOT BE STOPPED!

Your precious stock markets,
Your 4 story houses,
Your armada of sports cars
You disgusting fat slugs, we’re calling the marker.

So the vanguard ceases the factories
Production grinds to a halt
And the stock market dives
Immune to repair by any bailout or loan
The Vanguard Party did it, but the fault is their own.

The oppressors deploy their military - their army of drones
But the vanguard meets them viciously
Fighting for the land the people rightfully own
The main force is shattered
Communism stands in triumph
Although we are battered, we will continue to fight ‘um

The bourgeoisie retreats
Back to their final safe haven
A last stand is coming
And both sides prepare
For the coming decider – judgment day’s waiting

The Communists approach
The dark citadel of death
The last bastion of darkness
The only one left

With guns in hand and passion in heart
The commoners march forward
Prepared to depart
Though their families are in heart and mind, they know they might not make it back
But when the fate of the world hangs in the balance, courage you cannot lack

The enemy fires the first shot
The Vanguard increases speed into a trot
They take cover behind anything they can
That’s when the true battle began.

Suppressing attacks rain down like hail fire from above
The Comrades are pinned down, the situation looks bleak
But that burning fire inside them increases the heat
For hundreds of years, we have frozen and starved
We’ve given them our all, our work was conducted with heart
To earn what little money we could for our loved ones
We’ve been through the trenches, sweated and bled daily
We’ve worked our asses off so they could be lazy
And say “look how hard I have worked all my life to achieve this position”
When inheritance would say “ You’ve never worked a god damn day”
We’ve suffered so long, so hard, grown so weak
And they fucking DARE to call US lazy cheats?

And this is remembered, in the heat of the battle
The proletariat remembers the reason we fight
They remember that we MUST avenge our plight
And so the workers rise up
From behind their shelter
They grip their guns – they have a battle to win, and they haven’t yet won.
They then charge forward, with all of their power
The bullets rain down, like a vast metal shower
Some comrades fall slain
Some collapse, badly injured
Their sacrifice will not be forgotten
When the stronghold is secured

The workers bellow cries of battle
They’ve reached the wall,
now it’s time for tyranny to fall
They break through the fence, leave outer defenses a mess
They shoot down the rest, they give it their best.
The enemy looks out upon the Communist class
As they break through the fortress and shoot down the vast
Defenses put in place to prevent this very day
They should have known, there is no stopping the good and right way.

The enemy soldiers panic as the Vanguard grows near
They throw down their guns and escape through the rear
Leaving their masters vulnerable and weak
To Communist Victory, and Capitalist defeat
The Communists roar and cheer aloud
As out from the buildings, the Bourgeoisie come out
Subdued by the Party, a fair and square defeat
They will soon face the sour sow of their greedy and selfish wheat

The Bourgeoisie is now arrested, and sent to the camps
To work THEIR asses off for a change, to see how it feels
To be pushed around, neglected, and beat for their meal

At long last, after several centuries of oppression
The people are free, to lead the succession
Of a truly free society of progress and unity
To feel truly equal – to lead their own society
and abolish ambiguity

And so, the legacy of Communism was written
The glorious fight that led Humanity out of the night
To obliterate oppression
by the dawn’s early light.
